Ohio

About a week ago Chris and I traveled to Cleveland, Ohio for my grandmother's funeral.  This was the first time ever that one Chris and I have been together out of the state of Florida and two we had been on a plan together since we were married almost two years ago.  It was very exciting.

We left on Thursday February 24th out of Voldosta, GA.  Let me tell ya this is a really small airport with only two gates and free parking.  It was cheaper then flying out of Tallahassee and come on free parking!

The funeral was on Friday, February 25th.  There was a snow storm that started the night before and continued that whole day until about three or four in the afternoon.  It was so wonderful to see my family that I haven't seen in so long.  My family is spread throughout the country and it was so great to be with even just some of them.  My siblings and I were each asked to participate some way in the service.  I just gave a little talk and just kinda winged it.  My goal was to explain how it was such a joyce day because my grandmother was with our Heavenly Father again and that families are forever and we will see her again someday.  There were people there and family members who are not members of the Church and so I really wanted to bare my testimony of the gospel and the importance of our Heavenly Father's plan.

Friday night was amazing my family and I all went to Carrabas for dinner.  We were there for almost four hours! It was so great to just sit and visit and catch up since we don't get together very often.

This is us outside of the restaurant... see the snow!!

The next day Chris, my sister, brother-in law, and I went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  It was so cool and I totally recommend anyone to going...especially if you are interested in music and history!

After the meseum we went to lunch at Chipotle and then went to this place called Trader's Joe.  It's a really cool little market with all organic food but it's super cheep! Seriously, really good prices.  We got some food/snacks for dinner later.
Here's Chris with our spread

We had such a wonderful time.  I'm so happy Chris was with me and he got to meet members of my family that he hasn't meet yet too.  I'm so grateful for the gospel and the knowledge that I have of the restored church upon the earth today.  I have experienced death in my family quite often and I'm thankful for the knowledge that I have of the eternal nature of families and that we can be sealed for time and all eternity through the proper preisthood authority.

  3. Sorry to hear about your grandmother!
On an entirely different note, I'm happy you discovered Trader Joe's. That's where I do the majority of my grocery shopping here in D.C. I'm in love with it.
