Day at the Temple

Yesterday afternoon Chris and I made a little afternoon trip to the Temple in Orlando.  We left Tallahassee at 12 noon (right on the dot might I add) and made out trek down.

Chris was our trusty driver.  I am very lucky to have a husband willing to drive most of the time.
This is what is left of our lunches.  We had PB&Js, carrots, and celery and of course...
GATORADE... we like gatorade but not so much where is was invented however, I have been told that it was FSU grads that invented it at UF... not sure if that's true though. Anyway, yes we had gatorade.
It took us 3 hours and 30 minutes
and we were driving down Windy Ridge and saw...
The Temple in the distance!!! We made it... much excitement.
As we were walking up we saw another interracial couple and it was funny because both of us got really excited.  The other couple (African American husband and Caucasian wife) saw us get out of the car as they were walking to their car.  They looked at us and we looked at them and then the husbands gave a friendly wave.  It was exciting just because you don't see that very often, especially in the church.  So the weather was amazing with no clouds and warm sun.  We decided to take a few pictures...
Look there we are! See I told you NO clouds.
I was very proud of the outfit I put together so I asked Chris to take a picture of me.  I felt proud... I don't normally look this put together. It was such a wonderful day.  There wasn't that many people in the Temple and the spirit was so strong.  I have a huge testimony of the importance of Temples.  I love the opportunity to go and do service for others who have past on and to just feel my Heavenly Father and Savior's love.  Chris and I have made it a goal to go to the Temple once a month ever since we were married and we have done it every month except December and this past June.  We feel very blessed to have the time and means to be able to to go each month.
We walked out of the Temple at about 6:30-6:45p.m. and the sun was setting it was still very beautiful out.  We went and have a wonderful dinner of Chic-fil-a and headed home.  We had a wonderful day together and were able to just take a day to ourselves without the worry of school or work.  I feel very blessed to have a wonderful husband who I am sealed with for time and all eternity.  I'm grateful for the many amazing blessings the Temple offers.
